You must make sure to read all of these through and thoroughly. I know that rules are a pain in the butt, but they are essential to the livelihood of this site. Please Note: The rules could change should the need come up for one. Please be aware that you may, at some point, be asked to return and read the altered, or added rules.

out of character --
• No flaming -- be kind and courteous to everyone on here whether they are member, staff of guests. It is not acceptable to be meaninglessly rude and frankly no one wants to be around a person like that. Treat others as you want to be treated, right? • No racism, sexism, etc. -- this goes hand-in-hand with the rule above. There really is no reason to be a pain in the butt. • No whining -- whether it be about a banned trait or pack rank nobody wants to hear it. It is definitely #1 on the list of things to annoy the admins and you don’t want to annoy the admins. • No chat speak -- especially not in the OOC boards, it is really not attractive if a site’s boards are filed with tons of “lol”s and “lmao.” • You must be 13 years of age or older to join -- this rule is in accordance to Proboards Terms of Service and a member of a younger age can threaten our livelihood as a website. This is not meant to discriminate against younger people, but this is how it has to be. • Keep arguments and personal problems out of the boards -- please don’t take anything said or done IC to be associated with someone OOC. If you have a problem with someone and want to talk it out, please take it to PMs or notify the staff. • Intermediate to advanced skill level -- if you are new to the world of RPing or don’t speak English well, this probably is not a good place for you. • One account for each character -- so if you have 3 characters, then you have 3 separate accounts for those characters. This is really just to help the staff sort everyone out. • Your display name must be the name of your character -- leave the display name in all lowercase. • Fill out the “Played By” section of your profile -- you can get to it by modifying your profile. It should be filled in with your OOC name and the name that we refer to you as in the CBOX. • Avatars can be no bigger than 100x100px -- no exceptions, graphics that are beyond the size limit will be removed by staff for you to put back up in your own time, and we will not resize your graphics for you. There is a lot of different online photo editing software available to both PCs and Macs, go resize them yourself, it’s not hard. • Signatures can be no bigger than 500x400px -- this is the same as the avatars. • Tables can be no wider than 500px -- we don’t want your pretty tables stretching the forum because then they don’t look so pretty anymore. • Don’t ask to be staff -- trust me, when there is a staff opening you’ll know, so don’t go PMing the admin account asking to be staff, it doesn’t make good impressions. • Please, no profanities in the OOC boards -- there really is no reason to go around swearing like nobody’s business, so keep it out of the OOC boards. • In the case of absence for whatever reason, post in the Taking Leave board -- we understand that you have a life and might just need a break from the internet. Please just let us know so we don’t think you’ve gone AWOL on us.

in character --
• You cannot RP with your character until it has been accepted -- you’ll know, it will have been moved to the “Accepted” board. • As stated above, your display name must be your character’s name -- capitalize the first letter for male characters, leave in all lowercase for female. • No profane or racially sensitive names -- there is no reason at all to name your character something as such and violating this rule will result in a deletion of the account without warning. • Be tasteful when it comes to swearing -- just like most authors won’t use the f-word every other sentence, we expect you to do the same. • Nothing graphic -- whether it’s breeding or battles don’t be overly descriptive and gory. While we do encourage descriptive posts, there is no reason to go that far. • Try to keep your posts above the minimum requirement of 200 words -- this is a really lenient word cap and we expect you to follow this rule very closely. We understand that people have bad days and that you might fall short every once and awhile, but do not make this a habit. If you have too, take some time off, we understand. • Use good grammar -- seriously, nothing is more annoying than when you’re RPing with someone who appears to have missed the kindergarten grammar lessons. • Posts can be made in 1st or 3rd person -- try to be consistent. • We encourage exotic colors and markings -- but please have your character follow the guidelines for his/her species. • Creative names -- often times names with alternate meanings or that are symbolic of something make a character more interesting. That and we can’t have a million Rex’s or Fluffy’s running around everywhere. • Please check the Taken Names thread before choosing the name of your character -- very important as we cannot accept your character’s bio if they have the same name as an already existent character. • There is no such thing as the perfect character -- so don’t make one! They’re not fun to RP with anyway. • No insane or mentally unstable characters without admin permission -- this is important as having too many unstable character on the site, while not to mention boring, will throw off the stability of the plot and wouldn’t not turn out well. • In the case of an insane character -- they will not be accepted as a high ranking wolf unless their issue is mild and easily controlled as determined by the staff since each case is different.

chat box --
• Chat speak is allowed -- when used in regulation. Though we will not allow things like “ttyl” or “@teotd,” the occasional “lol” or “brb” is okay. • No swearing -- there is no need, so why do it? It doesn’t make a very good impression to guests and there really is no point in swearing when we’re making small chat anyway. • Nothing IC -- no role playing in the CBOX is acceptable. The boards are for that and there’s no reason for it. RPing is different than chatting about characters or plots. • No spamming -- try to avoid strings of 8-10 posts where it’s practically only you talking to yourself. • No advertising -- there's a place for that and it’s not the CBOX. • NO ALL CAPS -- WHEN I’M TALKING LIKE THIS IT LOOKS LIKE I’M YELLING AND IT IS REALLY UNEEDED. Honestly.
